Chord Paul Overstreet, born on February 17, 1989, is a talented American actor and musician. He is best known for his role as Sam Evans on the popular Fox TV series Glee, which aired from 2009 to 2015. Overstreet has also made a mark in the music industry and currently stars in the Apple TV+ comedy series Acapulco, starting from 2021.

Overstreet was born in Nashville, Tennessee, to Julie and Paul Overstreet. Chord’s dad is a famous country music singer-songwriter. He grew up on a farm near Nashville, where his parents supported his interest in music. Chord learned to play many instruments like the mandolin, drums, flute, piano, and guitar. He’s also good at writing songs.
Career Beginnings and Glee
After graduating from high school in 2007, Overstreet began pursuing his passion for performing. He started his acting career with roles in web series and guest appearances on TV shows like iCarly. In 2009, he made his film debut in the thriller The Hole. However, his big break came when he joined the cast of Glee as Sam Evans, a transfer student and athlete. Overstreet’s performance on Glee was well-received, and he became a fan favorite.
